We don’t like it, but we do it when you need us to…very successfully!
Our basic philosophy is that reasonable people and reasonable lawyers don’t litigate; that they should instead sit around a table and negotiate fair deals.
“Discourage litigation. Persuade your neighbors to compromise whenever you can. Point out to them how the nominal winner is often a real loser — in fees, expenses, and waste of time. As a peacemaker the lawyer has a superior opportunity of being a good man. There will still be business enough.”

In our practice if negotiations break down, we prepare for battle with the expectation of winning. We have been disproportionately successful in the cases that we litigate, including all of those we took to the Court of Appeal.
Perhaps that is because we only recommend litigation if we believe there is a good prospect of success.
